Now run by Clare and her small team, the boutique carries bridal dresses by five high end designers and Mother of the Bride. They also carry a great line of accessories for both brides and their mums keeping in mind what dresses they carry to make sure everything comes together perfectly.  They keep it very select and very personal and have won several bridal awards along the way. Brides still pop in who first came through the doors back in 2007, mostly now with their children!

They pride themselves on their impeccable reputation for great service, energetic approach and attention to detail which continues to generate more and more brides each year. The time will soon come to make decisions on whether to move to larger premises or open a second boutique but Clare finds it very hard to let go of what Quello has become and what it has brought to the town of Kenilworth. Local residents love to include the boutique as part of their daily walk around the beautiful park and castle grounds of Kenilworth just to see the latest window display of gowns and all things sparkly.

Running a boutique is a busy business! If you’re not seeing a bride for an initial appointment, you’re fitting a bride for their forthcoming wedding or accessorising somebody else’s outfit with buttons, feathers or beading. There’s the shows to attend to buy future dress collections and the all important accessories. Previous customers drop by for a cuppa to show you the wedding pictures  and there’s the windows to dress and the jewellery to polish. We open six days a week and still don’t manage to fit it all in but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

 Maria Sotiriou opened her first boutique six years ago in Battersea. Although her passion for bridal started 14 years ago when she helped her sister start her own business in Greece, it was here that she really learned her trade. She then opened a new boutique in Wimbledon’s busy high street location three years ago and a further location, with her partner Elli Antoniou in Canterbury in 2010. The newest Teokath of London is at Ely’s department store in Wimbledon; it was opened at the invitation of the managing director of the store, who had seen and been impressed by the decor of the nearby Wimbledon boutique. The design of the boutiques was based upon Maria’s own ideas of the perfect décor. Her vision was to create an environment where the bride-to-be would feel special from the moment they stepped inside. The boutiques are spacious and luxurious with a colour scheme of ivory, black and silver. The interior is warm, open and inviting. The clever design allows the large interior space to be divided into private reception and viewing areas for the bride and her guests.
The relationship with the client is fundamentally based on trust, while maintaining a fun and professional approach. We ensure attention to detail and one-to-one customer service. This is exactly what instills confidence in the bride-to be.
Maria has made a considerable investment in proactively marketing the company. She has undoubtedly raised the profile of Teokath and the service it offers, reaching a large target audience over the last few years. Advertising in all the top consumer wedding magazines has paid dividends. Teokath have also employed the latest on-line techniques via a first-class web site and emarketing campaigns using integrated social networking applications, such as Twitter and Facebook.
Teokath of London now employs 15 staff across all of its locations. Maria believes that her “landmark achievement” of the last year has been to continue to expand the business while successfully passing on her passion and zest for bridal to the consultants who work for her.
